About Krista Bulmer
Krista graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School with a Juris Doctor degree and then taught law at Southwest University of Politics and Law in Chongqing, China. She later completed the Master of Laws program in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution at Osgoode Hall Law School.
Krista has a diverse background that gives her a broad understanding of business, the arts and the resolution of complex issues: valuable experience in the broad spectrum of legal issues arising in contemporary practice.
Before becoming a lawyer, Krista worked in film, television and theatre as an actor, producer and talent agent and after as a lawyer for the Canada Broadcasting Corporation, Canada's public broadcaster. She has a keen interest and practice in aeronautics related issues and transactions.
Based on her broad experience in business, the arts and and the issues faced by vulnerable individuals, the Ontario government asked her to sit as a member of the Ontario Consent and Capacity Board's adjudicating capacity, consent, civil committal and substitute decision making issues often involving involuntary status in a psychiatric facility under the Mental Health Act, or a review under the Health Care Consent Act of a person's capacity to consent to or refuse treatment.
Krista's broad experience is the essence of a qualified litigation counsel and gives her a reputation for listening to clients and understanding their interests. She can offer practical advice while advancing resolution of complex matters from the corporation litigation, to estates to, to aeronautics.
