The primary goal of Overmeyer Law is to help clients achieve their legal objectives efficiently and cost effectively. We use our legal expertise, experience and resources to ensure practical solutions in resolving legal issues and disputes.
We advise buyers and sellers in real estate transactions, and provide a personal legal service to our clients to ensure clear communication, and the best strategy to protect their interests.
Overmeyer Law also provides advice on estate planning issues, identifying your obligations to your family members and assist in drafting your will at cost effective prices.
Problems can arise in estates not only under circumstances where there is no will, but also under circumstances where such will is being challenged for validity. The challenge of a will can happen under various circumstances, and one of the circumstances are when people decline in mental capacity and become vulnerable to the influence of others. It is therefore critical to make a will when you are able to make sound judgements for yourself, your beneficiaries and your assets.
Overmeyer Law can help you in advising you on the best way to structure your estate, as well as to prepare powers of attorney. We can also advise you on the implications of joint tenancies, gifts made during lifetimes and loss of capacity issues.
Our offices are based in Hamilton near the Go Station for clients who are based in the surrounding areas and are easily able to consult with us at our offices. However, we recognise that some clients are unable to take time off to consult with us at our offices or to come in to sign documentation. We have therefore made provision for a mobile legal service under those circumstances. This affords minimal interruption to our client's schedule where the legal issue permits us meeting with clients at their offices or premises.
