About Joseph Jebreen
Joe is a founding partner of Jebreen & Walsh LLP and practices in the areas of litigation and real estate. Joe has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in contract, property, trust, personal injury, product liability, family and negligence disputes.
Before attending law school, Joe graduated from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and from the University of Ottawa with a M.Sc. in Chemistry. Although Sudbury is known for its mining (no, not just nickel), Joe is always prepared to boast about Sudbury's other attractions such as Science North, the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory, the Sudbury Wolves, and its many lakes. Sudbury is also the birthplace of Olympic gold medal swimmer Alex Baumann, Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek and many NHL players including Todd Bertuzzi and Mike Foligno, whose son Nick Foligno currently plays for the Ottawa Senators.
In 2004, Joe was hired as a University of Ottawa Lecturer for second and third year chemistry classes and has gained valuable leadership and presentation skills from these experiences. Joe completed his combined common law and civil law degrees at McGill University, graduating cum laude in 2007. He was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2008 and is currently a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, and the County of Carleton Law Association.
Prior to establishing Jebreen & Walsh LLP in 2009, Joe acquired valuable legal skills as an associate at Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP focusing in the area of pharmaceutical patent litigation.
Joe enjoys playing softball, golf and travelling with his wife and newborn son. Joe's softball career took an unexpected turn when he tore his Achilles tendon in 2010. After a long recovery, he is prepared to get back into the swing of things. Joe and his family have recently travelled to Lebanon and expect to make it to Iceland and England in 2012. Go Sens Go!
