For the past 27 years, Rupert has been engaged in the practice of law in the areas of Family Law, Child Protection/Child Welfare, and representing foster parents and children in such proceedings. He has extensive trial and appellate experience appearing before the Provincial Court, Court of Queen's Bench, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada. Rupert has also represented claimants in institutional abuse claims involving the Mount Cashel Orphanage and Indian Residential Schools.
Rupert was born in London, England and has resided in Calgary most of his life. He finished his undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Calgary in 1982 and his Law degree at the University of Ottawa in 1985.
